When taken along a healthy diet and exercise, Lipiget 10mg Tablet is highly effective in reducing the risk of heart attack, stroke or other heart conditions. It is also used to decrease the risk of needing heart surgery in individuals with heart disease.
Lipiget 10mg works by inhibiting the activity of a chemical substance the body needs to make cholesterol.
What dose should I choose?
In adults, the usual initial dose is 1 tablet (10 mg) taken orally once per day. The doctor may adjust the dose after a period of 4 weeks. The daily dose should not exceed the maximum dose of 80 mg.
For the treatment of Heterozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia in children over the age of 10, the usual initial dose is 1 tablet (10 mg) taken orally, which may be increased by the doctor.
If you skip a dose by any chance, take it as soon as you remember. Skip the already missed dose if it’s almost time for the next one. Do not double the dose.
