It contains Albuterol Sulfate as an active ingredient and belongs to a class of drugs known as bronchodilators. It helps in the prevention of asthma brought on by exercise. How effective is Salbo Hfa?
Salbo Hfa Inhaler works by relaxing the muscles in the walls of the small airways in the lungs. It is a short acting drug and the effect longs for 4-6 hours.
What dose should I choose?
For adults (ages 18 years and older), take an oral dosage of 2-3 puffs of Salbo Hfa Inhaler after every 4-6 hours.
For children (ages 6 to 17 years), take an oral dosage of 2-3 puffs of Salbo Hfa Inhaler after every 4-6 hours.
For children (below 6 years), Salbo Hfa Inhaler is not recommended. It is not helpful for people under 6 years.
