Claritek XL 500mg Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections of different types such as skin and soft tissues, bone, joints and many others. It contains  Clarithromycin as an active component, which is known as a macrolide antibiotic class of drugs.

How effective is Claritek XL 500mg?

Sometimes Claritek XL 500mg Tablet is used to treat various types of bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections like pneumonia, gastrointestinal tract such as Ulcers, skin and soft tissues and bone infections. It works by killing the bacteria so it’s bactericidal. Claritek XL 500mg tablet can be used alone or in combination with other medicines.

What dose should I choose?

The Recommended dose of Claritek XL 500mg for adults (age 14 or above) is from one half to a full tablet (250 to 500mg) in a divided or single dose.

The recommended dose of Claritek XL 500mg for children (age 13 to 5) is 7.5mg/kg orally in divided doses.

The recommended dose of Claritek XL 500mg for children (age 5 and below) is 7.5mg/kg orally in divided doses.

What are the side effects and other warnings when taking Claritek XL 500mg?
