Hilfo-B Tablet | Buy Online from Dawailo.pk
Hilfo-B Tablet contains Tenofovir Alafenamide, an antiviral medication manufactured by Hilton Pharma. It belongs to the nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) class and is prescribed for the treatment of chronic Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and above, weighing at least 35 kg.Hilfo-B Tablet is a phosphonamidite prodrug of tenofovir which inhibits hepatitis B virus (HBV) replication through incorporation into the viral DNA by HBV reverse transcriptase resulting to DNA chain termination.
How It Works
Tenofovir Alafenamide is a prodrug that converts inside the body into tenofovir diphosphate, its active form. This compound gets incorporated into the viral DNA by the HBV reverse transcriptase enzyme, halting DNA chain formation and stopping the virus from multiplying. By suppressing viral replication, Hilfo-B helps reduce liver inflammation and slows disease progression toward cirrhosis or liver failure.
Dosage of Hilfo-B Tablet
The typical adult dose is one 25mg tablet once daily, taken with or without food, exactly as prescribed by a hepatologist or physician. Treatment duration depends on viral load response and is monitored through regular liver function and HBV DNA testing. Patients should never adjust the dose or stop treatment without medical advice, as doing so can cause a sudden flare-up of Hepatitis B.

Side Effects of Hilfo-B Tablet
Common side effects of Hilfo-B 25mg Tablet include nausea, fatigue, and headache. Because it’s an NRTI, kidney function and bone density should be monitored periodically, though Tenofovir Alafenamide carries a notably lower risk of kidney and bone toxicity compared to older Tenofovir formulations (like Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate).
Precautions
- Prescription-only medicine — requires a valid doctor’s prescription
- Inform your doctor of any kidney disease, bone disorders, or HIV co-infection before starting
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor first
- Do not stop treatment abruptly — this can cause a serious hepatitis flare
- Regular monitoring of liver enzymes and viral load is required during therapy
